Wolverines down Superlarks

GLENVILLE — After a tough loss to Mabel-Canton on Monday, The Glenville-Emmons volleyball team looked to bounce back against Southeast Conference rival Grand Meadow in Glenville.
The Wolverines (12-7, 7-3 Southeast) defeated the Superlarks (2-18, 2-14) 25-18, 25-16 and 25-17 to earn the sweep.
“It was a total team effort,” Wolverines coach Lisa Ziebell said. “They were focused and ready to play.”
Kalli Van Ryswyk led the way for the Wolverines with 13 kills, while Emily Belshan had five kills with three ace blocks.
Kailey Davis led the Wolverines with 20 digs and went 15-for-17 with two ace serves.
Nisha Davis also had 11 digs and went 14-for-14 with 5 ace serves for Glenville-Emmons.
Devin Cooper tallied nine set assists and went 10-for-10 serving with an ace serve for the Wolverines, while Jamie Williamson finished with eight set assists.
Glenville-Emmons is back in action on Monday as they host Mabel-Canton and then take the road for their final regular season game against LeRoy-Ostrander on Tuesday.
