Wolverines fall to Cougars

The Glenville-Emmons Wolverines volleyball team lost to the No. 10 Mabel-Canton Cougars 3-0 Monday in a non-conference matchup.
The Wolverines (12-9, 7-3 Southeast) played the Cougars (30-0, 11-0) close in the first set, but couldn’t keep pace.
“Well played them well in the first set,” Glenville-Emmons head coach Lisa Ziebell said. “It was back and forth until point 19 and then (the Cougars) just took over.”
Emily Belshan led the Wolverines with nine kill and two serving aces.
Kalli Van Ryswyk had six kills, an ace block and went 6-of-7 serving, while Kailey Davis and Alayna Hall had 16 and 14 digs, respectively.
The Wolverines play at LeRoy-Ostrander (16-9, 9-3) at 7:15 p.m. tonight.
