The public is invited to The Arc of Freeborn County’s annual Soup and Chili Supper on Monday, Nov. 29, in Bethany Hall of First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Serving is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 4 to 12; children 3 and under are free. Menu includes: homemade chili, chicken noodle soup, crackers, cupcakes and ice cream. Supplemental funds are being provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
Arc will also be selling Walnut Grove Mercantile Fudge. The fudge comes in a variety of flavors from traditional Chocolate to Chewy Praline and Chocolate Amaretto Swirl. At the supper you can taste a free sample and then make a purchase of half-pound box for just $5.
Orders for fudge will also be taken at the supper and through Wednesday, Dec. 1. Half-pound and one-pound boxes, priced at $5 and $10 each, will be available to order.
The fudge will be made fresh and delivered on Thursday, Dec. 16, with pickup at Arc on Friday, Dec. 17, between the hours of noon to 6 p.m., in time for the holidays! What a great gift for just about anyone on your shopping list.
Proceeds from both fundraisers will be used for The Arc’s programs for people of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities here in Freeborn County. The Arc is an agency of the United Way. Call the office at 377-3469 for more information.
