Bolan community potluck
Published 9:15 am Friday, November 12, 2010
The Bolan Community Holiday Potluck began after the Village of Bolan’s Centennial in August of 1986. Many who took part in that great celebration are now gone, but Bolan is looking ahead to 2011 and would like to plan at least a “mini celebration” for its 125th year. If anyone is willing to hear about possible plans, or better yet to give some input or help, attend the upcoming Community Holiday Potluck on Saturday evening, Nov. 27, starting at 6 p.m. in the basement of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Bolan. The table service, coffee and cider will be furnished. Kermit Huebner will again be at the keyboard playing Christmas music as you arrive. The program following the potluck will feature some singers who have been a part of previous programs throughout the years. There will also be a time to share ideas for the upcoming 125th next year, plus treats for the children and door prizes. This is a great way to start the Christmas season with great food, fun and fellowship.
