Danish Brotherhood Lodge No. 75 116th Anniversary Banquet

On Oct. 20 the DBIA No. 75 celebrated 116 years of continuous membership in Albert Lea at the Green Lea Golf Course with a banquet dinner being served at 6 p.m.
President John R. Petersen led in the pledge to the American flag. He then welcomed everyone and introduced the members of the Sons of Norway Lodge and other guests present.
After enjoying a dinner of pork chops and swiss steak, President Orren Olson of the Sons of Norway Lodge was called forward to be presented with a framed award of appreciation for the years of close friendship and help the Danish Brotherhood has received from Sons of Norway Lodge.
Petersen introduced his friend Sgt. 1st Class Jeff Dahlen of the 135th Battalion of the Minnesota National Guard. Jeff gave a PowerPoint presentation of his three deployments to Europe and the Middle East. A question-and-answer period followed. It was of interest to all, Danish Brotherhood member Arnold Levisen served with the 135th Battalion of the Minnesota National Guard in North Africa and Italy in World War II.
The evening ended with the drawing of many door prizes.
