Ione M. Brown, 85, of Green River, Wyo., formerly of Albert Lea, passed away Nov. 7, 2010, following a lengthy illness.

She was born on June 1, 1925, in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of the late Milon Freeman and Vivian Tenney Freeman.

She attended school in Iowa and Minnesota.

She married Burdell Brown in Albert Lea and he preceded her in death in 1999.

She was a member of Assembly of God Church. She was a volunteer at her church and was very involved.

Her interests were spending time with her family, painting and crocheting.

Survivors include her three sons: Larry Brown of Green River, Wyo., Mark Brown of Indianapolis and Steve Brown of Rawlins, Wyo.; one daughter, Emi Christensen and husband Jim of Laguna Hills, Calif.; and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12, at the Assembly of God in Green River.

Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services.

Graveside services and interment were conducted Nov. 15 in Phoenix at the Cave Creek National Cemetery where she will be interred next to her husband.
