Luvern Billat, 64, Nevada

Memorial services for Luvern Paul Billat will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Luvern died on Wednesday, Oct., 27, 2010, in Nevada. He was 64 years of age.
Luvern was born Aug. 22, 1946, in Albert Lea to Joseph (Agnes Schmidt) Billat. He was united in marriage to Aradine Helmers at St. Theodore Catholic Church on May 17, 1966. They later divorced.
Luvern loved to play his guitar and sing. One of his desires was to sing professionally. A highlight in Luvern’s life was the opportunity to be on stage with Neil and Barb Lang. Luvern also liked to cook and prepare banquets.
Luvern is survived by his former wife, Aradine, of Albert Lea; three children: Jeanne, of Spearfish, S.D., Arleen, of Gillette, Wyo., and Christine, of Gillette, Wyo.; seven grandchildren; one sister, Margaret(Orin) Solland; and three brothers: Leon (Connie) Billat, of Albert Lea, Norman (Evie) Billat, of Albert Lea, and Michael (Patty) Billat, of Clarks Grove.
Luvern was preceded in death by his parents.
