The Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) is a group of school staff and parents who either work with or have children with a variety of disabilities. Last school year SEAC had a goal to raise money for adaptive swings for the playgrounds at the elementary schools within the school district.

We would like to take a minute to say thank you to the local Kiwanis groups, the SHIP program and to those who gave individual contributions to our cause. Because of your donations we were able to purchase and install several adaptive swings this past summer and fall. This would not have been possible without your support. We would also like to thank the Albert Lea Parks and Recreation Deptartment for installing adaptive swings at Edgewater, Lakeview and Hayek parks.

SEAC meets at 6:30 p.m., the fourth Monday of the month at Brookside Education Center. If you are interested, join the group at one of the meetings.
