Grace Thomas, of Albert Lea, a biochemistry major at University of Nebraksa, Lincoln, was awarded the Lampet Family Scholarship for $1,000. She has also received the George Beadle Honors Program Textbook Scholarship. Some of her accomplishments at Albert Lea High School are National Honor Society member for two years, girls’ swim team co-captain for two years, speech team member for four years, Excel Student nominee and student of the week.
