Members of the Albert Lea High School choirs will be hosting a winter car wash at Red Carpet Car Wash on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This event is a fundraiser for the upcoming trip to England and Scotland in June of 2011. Members of the traveling group will be hand washing, vacuuming and waxing cars from 3:30 to 6 p.m. on Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Either a traditional Red Carpet full hand wash or a winter wax will be available for the regular price of $40. Choir members will be selling certificates ahead or the public may call 379-5386 to arrange a time. Vehicles may be picked up and delivered to your door all shining and clean or may be dropped off at the business. Drive in vehicles will also be accepted those days at the times listed.

Another December fundraiser for the choir will be sponsored by Perkins. Anyone who wishes to order a pie from Perkins for the holiday may reserve one with a choir member and fill out a certificate. When the customer picks up their pie, Perkins will donate $2 to the choir.
