Hey, did we hear something we hadn’t heard from a Vikings coach in quite a while?

Asked about winning his first home game, interim coach Leslie Frazier deflected the offer to talk about himself and instead thanked the fans Sunday following a blowout of the Buffalo Bills at Mall of America Field in Minneapolis.

“We’ve got, in my mind, the best fans in the National Football League, and it was on display today. I mean, our players fed off that energy, in particular our defensive line.”

Several times during the post-game press conference Frazier spoke highly of the Vikings’ fan base and his players. He spoke barely a word about Leslie Frazier. He didn’t say “I” this and “I” that throughout the press conference.

That was smart. That’s the sort of selfless approach that Minnesotans appreciate.
