Brian Whelan and Jolene Johnson, both of Albert Lea, announce the engagement of their children, Nickolena Whelan and Cory Johnson.

The bride is the daughter of the late Jennet Lorentzen (Whelan). The groom is the son the late David Johnson.
An Aug. 13, 2011, wedding is planned at First Lutheran Church.
