EDEN PRAIRIE — The Minnesota Vikings have signed quarterback Patrick Ramsey and placed quarterback Tarvaris Jackson on injured reserve, ending his season because of a turf toe injury with three games remaining.

The team announced the move Thursday, increasing the possibility that rookie Joe Webb will start Monday night against the Bears.

Just like their stadium situation, the Vikings are extremely unsettled at quarterback. Jackson got hurt in Monday’s game against the Giants. He was playing because Brett Favre’s NFL-record streak of 297 straight games started ended, due to a sprained shoulder and numbness in his hand.

Ramsey is a nine-year veteran, once a part-time starter for the Redskins. He was let go by the Dolphins last month and hasn’t started a game since 2005.
