Panthers bounce Blue Jays

WASECA– Carlie Wagner scored 22 points, while Raelin Schue scored 16 points as the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panthers girls’ basketball team defeated the Waseca Bluejays 67-53 Tuesday in Waseca.

Along with Wagner and Schue, Kristina Cole was the third Panther in double figures with 13 points.

“The biggest difference in the game was our fast break,” NRHEG coach John Schultz said. “Our girls did a nice job pushing the floor and Carlie Wagner would do the finishing for us.”

Anna Schlaak had a team high 13 rebounds, while Schue had 12 rebounds and Wagner recorded 11 rebounds for NRHEG.

The Panthers are back in action on Friday as they travel to Mankato to take on the Loyola Crusaders.
