WELLS — United South Central’s Val Sahr scored her 1,000th career point Tuesday as the Rebels beat Mankato Loyola 51-15 in Wells.

The senior forward’s milestone point came on the back-end of two made free throw attempts in the second half.

Sahr was 15 points away from 1,000 entering the game and finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds, six steals and three assists.

The Rebels (7-5, 5-1 Gopher) led the Crusaders (0-10, 0-7) 28-9 at halftime and outrebounded them 43-28.

Kayla Stenzel finished with 13 points and Katie Overbo had eight.

The Rebels play again at 7:30 p.m. at New Ulm Cathedral (5-4, 3-2 Tomahawk).
