Rochester Home School downs Glenville-Emmons

ROCHESTER– Kalli Van Ryswyk scored 18 points Tuesday, while Emily Belshan scored 14 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Rochester Home School girls’ basketball team defeated the Glenville-Emmons Wolverines 73-50 in Rochester.

“They really pushed the ball and we couldn’t keep up,” Wolverines coach Lisa Ziebell said.

Rochester Home School went into half-time with a 35-25 lead.

The Wolverines finished the game shooting 30 percent from the field and shot 27 percent from the three-point line.

Even with the loss, the Wolverines did manage to capture the Southeast Conference West divison title.

Glenville-Emmons (16-7 overall, 14-4 Southeast) now moves on to the Section 1A tournament and will travel to play at 7 p.m. on Friday at Blooming Prairie.
