Traffic crash results in injury

Albert Lea police responded to a two-car traffic crash at 2:09 p.m. Tuesday along Highway 69 south and West Main Street. A red Chrysler Town & Country driven by Emma Jane Roberts, 82, made a left turn in front of a silver Ford Taurus driven by James Patrick Hockinson, 45. Roberts was transported to Albert Lea Medical Center by ambulance with injuries.
She was then treated and transferred, although an ALMC spokeswoman did not have record of where she was transported to.
Burglary was a false alarm
A burglary was reported to Albert Lea police at 9:11 a.m. Tuesday at Southwest Middle School. Two students at the school wanted to leave to go get snacks from
BP Korner Mart, so they propped a door open at the school to regain entry. No damages were reported and nothing was taken.
Gas and cash stolen
Freeborn County sheriff’s officers responded to a gas theft reported at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday at Kato Petrol Pumper, 105 North Star Rd., Alden. A man reportedly drove away with $16 worth of gas in an older two-door gold car without paying.
Albert Lea police responded to a theft report at 2:27 p.m. Tuesday at the Albert Lea High School. A student reported $22 taken from an unlocked locker.
Traffic crashes reported
Freeborn County sheriff’s officers responded to a hit and run car crash at 12:54 p.m. Tuesday at Vet’s Whoa N Go Fuel Stop. A white Chevy Suburban was reportedly hit by another vehicle while parked in the parking lot.
Albert Lea police responded to a two-car crash at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday under the bridge at East Main Street. Two cars were in the ditch and no injuries were reported. The vehicles were towed out of the ditch by Allen’s Tow-N-Travel.
Albert Lea police responded to a two-car traffic crash at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Hammer Road and Greenwood Drive. No injuries were reported.
Wallet found
According to Albert Lea police reports, a wallet was found in a cab at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday at 906 W. Front St. A report was filed.
