According to U.S. District Court schedules, Tuttle is now scheduled to enter a guilty plea to her federal wire fraud charge at 1:30 p.m. April 26 in front of Judge David S. Doty.

During an interview in January, Tuttle’s lawyer, Kevin O’Connor Green of Mankato, said he and Nancy Brasel of the U.S. Attorney’s Office were working out the final details of a plea agreement.

At that time he said it was too early to talk about the details.

Neither Green nor Brasel were able to be reached Monday.

Tuttle, who was in her first term as 5th District Freeborn County commissioner at the time of her arrest last June, is accused of diverting almost $1 million from her company, Albert Lea Abstract, to pursue an alleged gambling addiction.

She also faces 12 felony counts of theft by swindle and one count of racketeering.
