The six Albert Lea city manager finalists are in the middle of a busy day in the community.

First thing this morning, the finalists met with Albert Lea Mayor Vern Rasmussen and a few other city officials for breakfast at their hotel.

After breakfast they met at Wedgewood Cove Golf Club to begin a tour via an Albert Lea Transit bus of the community. Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Randy Kehr headed up the tour, along with Rasmussen, mainly pointing out business and infrastructure highlights of the community.

Following the tour, the candidates were meeting with department heads before meeting in small groups with members of the Albert Lea City Council.

A community meeting is scheduled at 4 p.m. at the National Vitality Center.
