Dieticians to educate the public

A free program, “Meet the Dietitian” is scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at HealthReach, 1705 S.E. Broadway Ave., Albert Lea. The topic has been expanded to include information on meal planning on a budget for those with and without diabetes.
Sponsored by Albert Lea Medical Center and District 241, the session will be presented by Denise Arnold, a registered dietitian at ALMC.
Arnold will be available to answer questions after the presentation. Please register to ensure adequate seating and handout availability by calling 379-2046.
Albert Lea Medical Center Dietitian Becky Goodell will be giving a free tour of Nelson’s Grocery Store from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Participants will sample healthy foods, learn how to read labels, and learn how to choose heart-healthy foods, nutrient-rich foods, and foods appropriate for diabetic diets.
