Frost man dies in train v. car crash

A 53-year-old Frost man died Saturday morning after a train and car collided on 480th Avenue near the city of Frost.

The man, Donovan Johnson, was the driver and sole occupant of the car.

According to the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, the crash is under investigation.

The collision reportedly occurred at 11:43 a.m. Saturday.

Sheriff’s deputies, Frost ambulance crews and Frost and Bricelyn firefighters were sent to the crash scene.

Johnson’s funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bethany Lutheran Church, rural Frost. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Bricelyn and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Bricelyn is assisting the family with arrangements.
