Hello. It has been awhile since I wrote a letter. We are definitely living in interesting times, global warming, social and economic crisis all over, tsunamis and I could go on and on, but I won’t.

My message today is not of gloom and doom, it is a message of wonderful opportunities to become involved in the much needed repair work on Mother Earth. As a very wise Native American chief says, we do have a Bill of Rights, and we know our rights, but he says what we should have is a bill of responsibilities. How can we have rights when we are irresponsible? Think about it.

When it comes to the environment we have been very irresponsible, as consumers we have allowed so much damage and devastation on this Earth. I don’t like to think about it, but it is a reality. Many of the products we buy on a regular basis are a burden to the environment, large corporations manufacture products not with people’s best interest in mind, but profit and greed.

Please pay attention to what you buy; be a responsible consumer. Each friendly choice makes a difference, no matter how small the item. We do have choices be informed, be part of the solution. Time is running fast, do it as your responsibility to the next generation. May you reduce your footprint on this wonderful Earth.
