Camper reported on fire

An Albert Lea police officer discovered a camper on fire on Madison Avenue early Sunday morning, according to police reports. According to police, the fire was found at 2:28 a.m. Sunday on the 1000 block of Madison Avenue.

No other information was available as of press time.

Items missing from homes

Clothing and an undisclosed amount of cash were reported missing from a residence on the 200 block of West Third Street at 3:42 a.m. Sunday, according to police reports.

A window was reported broken out and rings stolen out of a residence on the 400 block of Third Street at 5:57 p.m. Friday, police reports stated.

Dog bite reported

A child was reported bit by a pit bull at 4:55 p.m. Saturday on the 600 block of Ruble Avenue, according to police reports. Police stated the bite was not serious, but the child was treated at Albert Lea Medical Center. The dog was quarantined, and the owners were served a potentially dangerous dog notice.

Person cited for drug paraphernalia

Police cited Jordan Lee Cooper, 19, for no proof of insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 12:24 a.m. today near the intersection of Fountain Street and Lakeview Boulevard.

Two arrested for illegal consumption

Police arrested Michael Aaron Holland, 20, for illegal consumption and Allen Markus Engersol, 23, on a local warrant after a traffic stop on West Main Street at 1:06 a.m. Sunday, according to reports.

Police arrested Ehric Martin Barnes, 20, for assault and illegal consumption after police received a call of an assault in progress near the intersection of Fifth Street and St. Joseph Avenue at 2:14 a.m. Sunday, reports stated.

Holst sentencing postponed

The sentencing for Travis Jon Holst, of Albert Lea, was postponed Monday after Holst’s lawyer was reportedly out of town and unable to attend the sentencing.

Holst pleaded guilty to two of 12 felony counts of child pornography possession in January as part of a plea agreement.
