Enjoy Emmy-award winning comedian Louie Anderson at the American Legion Leo Carey Post 56 in Albert Lea. Anderson, a Minnesota native, is slated to perform at the American Legion club at 7 p.m. Sunday with comedian Scott Hansen.

It is one of four shows the duo is making in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Hansen, the founder of the Toys for Troops comedy shows, has been in the Albert Lea area on a handful of occasions recently to perform benefits for various organizations. Friday

• See the “East Meets West I-90 Art Connection” show at the Albert Lea Art Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Check out Riverland Theatre’s production of “Mame.” The show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Frank W. Bridges Theatre on Riverland Community College’s Austin campus. Tickets are $15 and can be reserved by calling 507-433-0595 or can be bought at the box office or Coffee House on Main in Austin.

• See the “East Meets West I-90 Art Connection” show at the Albert Lea Art Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• The Sunset Saddle Club will hold a horse show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the outdoor arena at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds.

• Catch a glimpse of a moonlit wonderland and all the students dressed up for prom during the grand promenade at Albert Lea High School. The promenade starts at 3:30 p.m. in the high school’s auditorium.

Sunday

• Bikers of all varieties are invited to a blessing of bikes and food drive at Salem Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. There will be worship at 10:30 a.m. and the blessing will be held at 11:30 a.m. Bring your bike to be blessed and a nonperishable food item to be a blessing to others. Food donated will go to the Salvation Army food shelf.

• A Cantori concert will be held at United Methodist Church in Albert Lea at 4 p.m. The Cantori is accompanied by Gail Thurnau and directed by Eileen Nelson Ness. The concert is open to the public and donations will be accepted.
