Dr. Leonid Skorin, Jr., stands in front of a monument of V.P. Filatov, the scholar ophthamologist who the Filatov Eye Institute in Odesa, Ukraine, is named after. Skorin recently returned from a trip to the Ukraine where he presented a lecture and workshop on trabectome glaucoma surgery. He did both presentations entirely in Ukrainian. Skorin joined Albert Lea Medical Center in 2000 as a comprehensive ophthamologist with an emphasis on cataract, glaucoma and eyelid surgery. -- Submitted photo
