Alphretta Wysong, 81, Patton, Pa.

Alphretta (Teda) J. Wysong 81, of Patton, Pa., passed away Monday, May 16, 2011, at Altoona Regional Hospital, Pennsylvania.
Alphretta was born Sept. 25, 1929, in Patton, a daughter of the late John and Laura (Bertin) Hobbs.
Alphretta married the love of her life James Wysong on Aug. 1, 1948. He precedes her in death.
Alphretta is survived by daughters: Diana Smelter of Patton and Donna Barela of Albert Lea; sisters: Joyce Arnold of Lake Mills, Iowa, and Cynthia Pechacek (Norman) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren: Laura Smelter, Matthew Smelter (Alisha Burtyk), Sarah Long (Brett) and James Barela (Alexandria Lopez); one great-grandchild, JaLexa Barela; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alphretta is preceded in death by brother-in-law Louis Arnold.
Alphretta attended Joyline Ministries and often participated at the Patton Senior Center. She enjoyed sewing and was an avid bird watcher.
A celebration of Alphretta’s life will be held at the McCabe Funeral Home Patton at 6 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Joyce Mitchell as celebrant.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Vineyard Church, in Albert Lea with the Rev. Matt Hundley as celebrant. Interment will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Albert Lea.
