Nothing.

Nothing else matters when you are driving near a school bus.

Not the appointment you are late to.

Not the bed you want to curl up in.

Not the hunger in your belly.

Nothing.

Drive carefully near school buses.

When the lights are flashing and the stop arm is out, stop.

When the lights are not flashing and the stop arm is not out, drive slowly and cautiously.

Why? Because there are children on the bus. And endless amounts of love.

Consider how much time, effort, love, caring, tenderness, food, money, diapers, clothes, toys, nurturing, teaching and soothing went into raising a child, even merely to be the wide-eyed age of a first-grader.

Don’t became the person who dashes that.
