April (Clausen) Beckman, Albert Lea High School graduate of 2000, will be completing the master’s in Church Music Program at Concordia University, Wis., this summer. In partial completion of the program she is presenting a Master’s Organ Recital at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 869 7th Ave. S.E., Rochester, at 2:30 p.m. on May 15. The public is invited to the free recital. The program will include works by Bach, Bruhns, Brahms, Messiaen, Franck and Vierne. She will also present a recital on the campus of Concordia University in Wisconsin at 2:30 p.m. June 25. Beckman currently serves as director of parish music at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Rochester.
