The Glenville-Emmons Wolverines baseball team beat the Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain Mustangs Friday 8-1 in Truman.

Tyler Woodside threw seven scoreless innings for the Wolverines (5-3, 3-0 Southeast) and had three RBIs. The Wolverines committed only one error, which came with two outs in the final inning.

“This was our best all around game,” Wolverines coach Louie Toulouse said. “(The Mustangs) made decent contact but our fielders made really nice plays.”

Peter Hansen finished 3-for-5 with two runs scored for the Wolverines, and Spencer Kral was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

The Wolverines play again today at 5:30 p.m. against Hope Lutheran (1-3, 1-3) in Winona.
