Albert Lea High School bands will present their annual Spring Concert featuring all three bands at ALHS at 7 p.m. Monday. This will be the last concert of the year as well as Peter Gepson’s final concert as Director of Bands at Albert Lea High School.

The concert will feature performances by the Tiger, Symphonic, and Concert bands. The Concert Band will present their three selections from the 79th Annual Big 9 Music Festival, as well as a world premier performance of “Entrada and Courtly Dances” by Northfield composer Daniel Kallman. Mr. Kallman will be in attendance at the concert.

In addition, band award winners for the 2010-2011 school year will be announced at the concert, including the prestigious “John Philip Sousa Award” for band and the “Louis Armstrong Award” for Jazz.

This should be a great evening of music and recognition. The concert will be held at the ALHS auditorium and admission is $5 for students/seniors and $7 for adults. ALHS family music passes are accepted at this concert.
