Jean Meriem Lindboe, 80, of Blooming Prairie, died Friday, April 29, 2011, at Prairie Manor Care Center, Blooming Prairie.

Jean Meriem Harding was born April 4, 1931, to Carl and Mildred (Brinkman) Harding in Beadle County, S.D. The family moved to Blooming Prairie where Jean graduated from Blooming Prairie High School. Jean married Herman Beede in 1950 and later divorced. She married Ray Lindboe in May, 1969, and he passed away in 1987. Jean first worked as a secretary at Jostens, later she ran a golf course near New Richland, and most recently worked at O’Connor Tax Service in Blooming Prairie. Jean was a member of St. Columbanus Catholic Church and was a member of the ladies’ auxiliary at the Serviceman’s Club. She served several terms on the Blooming Prairie City Council and was on the Police Commission. She liked to golf, walk, read, and spend time on the computer. She liked going to movies and working in the flower bed, and loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by daughters, Renee (Michael) Woods of Blooming Prairie, DeeAnn Rasmussen of New Ulm; son, Herman (Karen) Beede of Blooming Prairie; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, JoAnn Luby of Annapolis, Md., Janet (Marc) Francis of Napa, Calif., Deanna Harding of Annapolis; brother, John (Donna) Harding of Beaver Crossing, Neb.; sister-in-law, Sharon Harding of Mandan, N.D.; nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, at St. Columbanus Catholic Church in Blooming Prairie with Rev. William Kulas officiating. Interment will be in St. Columbanus Cemetery. Friends may call at the Worlein-Blooming Prairie Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
