Dr. Mark Christopherson, son of Shirley Christopherson and the late Bill Christopherson, of Albert Lea, recently received the Teacher of the Year award at Mayo Clinic.

This is his third such award including 1985 and 2003.

The residents vote to choose the recipient based on the whole year’s performance.

Christopherson’s area of specialties includes physical medicine, rehabilitation and spinal cord injury. He also is the contact for multiple sclerosis. Christopherson is a victim of M.S. as was his father.
