Milo Otto Stensrud, 95, of 72 Valley Trail Drive, Winona, died on May 23, 2011, at Lake Winona Manor.
Milo was born on March 12, 1916, at Rock Dell, Olmsted County, to Mikkel and Inga (Westrum) Stensrud. He attended school in the Rochester area.
Milo married Mildred Peck on July 12, 1936, in New Hampton, Iowa. He was an interior decorator and designer for Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea for 34 years, retiring in 1981. He was a lifetime member of the painters and allied trades union.
Milo was an active member and taught Sunday School at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. He was also a Boy Scout leader. Milo and Mildred moved to Winona in 1989 where they were members of Central Lutheran Church and Sons of Norway Nor-Win Lodge 505.
Milo was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred on June 7, 2004; daughter, Romaine Klawiter and son, Gerald Stensrud.
He is survived by son, Richard (Virginia) Stensrud, Lakeville; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Norman (Orphie) Stensrud, Rochester.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Central Lutheran Church, Winona, with the Rev. Jeff Franko, officiating. Burial will be in East St. Olaf Cemetery, Rock Dell, Olmsted County. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday after 10 a.m. until time of services.
Casketbearers will be Desiree Littlefield, Jodi Duffy, Nancy Bedell, MikKael Stensrud, James Klawiter Jr., Rhanah Becknal, Thomas Klawiter, Cheryl Cornell, Kirstin Bradshaw and Bryan Klawiter.
