Three area photographers will be exhibiting their work today through June 5 at the new Art Underground gallery in downtown Albert Lea.
Teresa Kauffmann is an Albert Lea resident and will be showing photos of her travels to Texas and the Southwest as well as local interest.
Julie Bronson, who lives in Glenville and works in Albert Lea, will be showing her collection of photos of old barns, silos and outbuildings. Julie says, “I love to see and show the detail and the beauty of the abandoned farmhouses and barns that sprinkle our country side. Any people just see an eyesore I want to show them the beauty that is vanishing day by day.”
BethAnn Hamilton is a student at Riverland Community College in Austin. Her 3D photo creations mix photography and sculpture in a unique way. BethAnn is excited to be having her first show.
The Art Underground is located at 224 S. Broadway in Albert Lea in the Historic Bessessen Building. The building is owned by Susanne Crane. Gallery hours for the show will be 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. An opening reception will be held today from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
