The Albert Lea Tigers softball team lost to Mankato West 10-0 in five innings Thursday at Snyder Fields.

Abby Pleiss and Bethany Sekora each recorded one of the Tigers’ two hits.

Erin Everhard pitched five innings for the Tigers (0-11, 0-11 Big Nine) and scattered 12 hits while striking out two and walking four. She was tagged for seven earned runs.

Malorie Veroeven earned the win for the Scarlets (5-2, 5-2) after striking out seven over five scoreless innings and issuing no walks.

The Tigers play again at 4 p.m. Tuesday in a doubleheader against Owatonna (2-6, 2-6).
