The following are some of the volunteer opportunities currently open in Freeborn County. If you can help with any of them or would like to volunteer for others, call Pat Stumme, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program Director, at Senior Resources, 377-7433.

Support Our Troops: You presence is invited to honor our deploying National Guard Unit at the Memorial Day parade Monday, May 30. Come help line the whole parade route in Albert Lea to show our pride in their commitment and our care for their families You can greet them at the community picnic immediately following the parade. This unit deploys on May 31 with a special ceremony so the timing for us to be present is very important to all of us, the National Guard members and families and all military personnel.

Red Power RoundUp: June 2011 is next month; are you ready for the Round-Up? As a ticket booth volunteer for the Red Power Round Up, you’ll meet folks saluting the historical lines of International Harvester and Farmall tractors. Call for Pat at Senior Resources 377-7433, to get the details and sign up for the ticket booth schedule that suits you best during the Round-Up, June 21-25. Orientation will be June 15-16.
