Two young people are dead and two are critically injured after a crash on Highway 14 near Rochester Friday.

The Minnesota State Patrol said Sondra Dewerd, 23, of Rochester, was headed eastbound in the westbound lane when her Mercury Cougar collided with a Mazda Protege around 2:30 a.m.

Passenger Tyler Hoff, 18, of Mazeppa, and driver Emery Van Hook, 22, of Kasson, both died in the crash. Another passenger Alexander Korbi, 18, of Mesa, Ariz., is in critical condition. Dewerd is also in critical condition.
