Betty Keesling, 78, Twin Lakes

Memorial services for Betty J. Keesling, 78, of Twin Lakes, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the services at the chapel. Private burial will take place at a later date. To sign the guestbook go to www.bayviewfuneral.com.

Betty J. died on Friday, May 27, 2011, at her home.

Elizabeth Josephine (Betty) Keesling was born on Oct. 1, 1932, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Muzic) Kust, in Alexandria. She attended and graduated from the Mound High School. Betty was united in marriage to Kenneth Keesling on Nov. 14, 1952, in Wayzata. The couple lived in several areas of the Albert Lea area. Betty loved being a homemaker for her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, bowling, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth, Twin Lakes; children: Kenneth Jr. (Brenda) Keesling, Albert Lea, Kevin Keesling, Albert Lea, Kurt (Donna) Keesling, Altinmonte Springs, Fla., Kim (Keith Jr.) Porter, Albert Lea and Karmen (Rod) Blackhawk, Silver Lake; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers: Jim (Carol) Kust, Delano and Jack Kust, Montrose; sisters: Pat (Paul) Solstad, Woodbury, Peggy (Dean) DeLuge, Clinton, Carol Kust, Minnetonka and Kathy Wheeler, Mound; sister-in-law; Joan Kust, Mound.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Gerald, Bob and Joseph Jr.; sister-in-law, Jean Kust; and brother-in-law, Cliff Wheeler.
