Hawthorne Elementary School hosted Floats ’n’ Fun for the second year in a row for Hawthorne students and their families from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on May 26 in the parking lot and grounds of Hawthorne School.
Families of Hawthorne students got together in a safe, structured environment. Everyone enjoyed jump roping, hula hooping, blowing bubbles, drawing with sidewalk chalk, playing on the playground, basketball, hop scotch, kickball and playing various other lawn games. DJ Jacob Abrego from Uptown Sound was there playing a variety of music which students, families and staff danced to.
Hawthorne served more than 350 root beer floats. More than 400 people were in attendance on this beautiful evening.
The school would like to thank the Hawthorne PTO for making this event possible and would like to thank Hawthorne families for attending.
