Heat temperatures broken

Albert Lea broke a record Tuesday, reaching 99 degrees. That beat the previous record of 94 set in 1933.

Dozens of cities broke records around the state. Minneapolis notched a high of 103 degrees. Mankato posted 102. St. Cloud and Rochester hit 101. Fairmont and Austin 99.

The National Weather Service forecasts a high of 88 degrees for today in Albert Lea and just 69 on Thursday.
