Mayo Clinic Health System’s Hospice program in Albert Lea will hold its eleventh annual Friends of Hospice Walk/Run around Fountain Lake on June 11.
Registration begins at 7 a.m. at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds, with the Walk/Run from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Registration/pledge forms are available by calling Hospice at 377-6393, or can be picked up at KATE radio, Power 96 radio, or at Mayo Clinic Health System locations in Alden, Kiester, Lake Mills, New Richland and Wells. Forms will soon be available online at www.almedcenter.org.
Hospice care focuses on quality of life when a cure is no longer possible. It addresses the total physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals, while assisting their loved ones to provide care and support in comfortable, familiar surroundings. Monies raised from the Walk/Run are used to support bereavement and volunteer services.
