Inez Campion, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Inez M. Campion, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., passed away Friday, June 24, 2011, at Saratoga Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Ringsted, Iowa, on March 7, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elnora Quinn. She grew up in Albert Lea where she met her husband of 51 years, the late Paul J. Campion. As a proud military wife she traveled extensively living and raising her family in several different locations in the United States as well as Frankfurt, Germany and Bangkok, Thailand. After settling in Saratoga Springs in the 1970s, she worked for several years for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. She was an avid bridge player and also enjoyed golf, bowling and spending time with her friends, children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Inez was predeceased by her husband, Paul J. Campion in 1992 and her son James M. Campion in 1999, also one brother and one sister.
Survivors include her twin sister, Izola Haried of Albert Lea; three children: Carol Campion of Melbourne, Fla., Kay (David) Longley, of Saratoga Springs, and Tim (Megan) Campion, of McLean, Va.; seven grandchildren: Dana, Chris, Melissa, Abraham, Anna, PJ and Maggie; and three great-grandchildren: Sierra, Mckinley and Jordan.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of the Home of the Good Shepherd in Malta for their kind and loving care of Inez and for making her feel so at home there in her last years.
Relatives and friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs at 518-584-5373.
Private burial at Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
