The Albert Lea Knights 11AAA baseball team has a 14-6 record so far this season after placing second in the previous two tournaments. The Knights placed second in the Wayzata Classic on May 13-15 after finishing with a 4-2 record. The Knights split in pool play after beating Rochester 11-9 and losing to Chaska 11-0. The Knights beat Plymouth/Wayzata 5-4 in the quaterfinals and Lakeville North 12-0 in the semifinals before losing to St. Michael/Albertville 11-1 in the finals. The Knights took second place in the Eagan Spring Classic after falling to Woodbury 7-6 and beating the Minneapolis Millers 2-1 in pool play. The Knights beat Shakopee 5-3 in the quarterfinals and Eagan 3-2 in the semifinals before losing to the Millers 9-1 in the finals. The Knights play again June 10-12 in Burnsville.
