Man threatens to jump off bridge

An Albert Lea man reportedly threatened to jump off of the West Main Street bridge near the viaduct on Friday night. According to police reports, numerous police officers and other officials responded at the scene. The man was ultimately transported to the emergency room by officers at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea without injuries.

Man arrested for DWI

Police arrested Ignacio Cortez Rosas, 42, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 1119 S. Broadway Ave. at 1:31 a.m. Saturday, according to reports.

Car damaged

White paint was reported dumped on a vehicle at 104 S. Sixth Ave. at 9:47 a.m. Saturday. Police reports state a juvenile is being charged with criminal damage related to the incident.

Light fixture starts smoking

A light fixture at 2010 S.E. Marshall St. was reportedly smoking at 10:12 p.m. Sunday. No other information about this incident was available as of press time.

Mailbox damaged

A mailbox was reported damaged at 21253 890th Ave. in Oakland at 1:34 p.m. Friday, according to reports.

Woman cited for shoplifting

Police cited Vickie Lynn Mullins, 45, for shoplifting on Friday at Hy-Vee, 2708 Bridge Ave., according to police.
