Thanks for backing trip to the U.K.

Thanks to the Albert Lea community for supporting our young choir students who will soon be leaving on a fabulous 10-day trip to England and Scotland. The students and their parents have been working hard for at least 12 months to raise enough money to go, and we have met our goals! Thank you to all who attended our meal fundraisers, purchased our fundraising items and gave donations. I am overwhelmed with the response for this trip as we have 92 students and over 50 parents and adults traveling. We will see amazing sights and sing in five gorgeous cathedrals including York Minster, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in Europe. This will truly be a life-changing experience for many.
If you would like to hear the choir sing, please come to the high school at 5 p.m. June 5 for our final bon voyage concert. The choir is comprised of students in grades 9-12 from three different choirs. Students have been working on their own and in large rehearsals outside of school time to prepare to sing their best. The concert will be free and a celebration of what we have accomplished and what is yet to come in the following 10 days.
Thank you Albert Lea! We hope to represent our school and community well on our exciting adventure!
