On Monday the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center will be conducting a “Digital Photography-Bridge to Nature” Teacher Workshop. This workshop will show teachers how to use digital cameras and how to take students on outdoor “photo safaris” with resulting photos that can be incorporated into existing classes in science, math, art, language arts, geography, engineering, journaling and environmental education. This workshop will help teachers meet their state learning standards and receive continuing education credits. This workshop is run by state employees from the Department of Natural Resources. The class is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. until noon. For more information on this class please contact the Nature Center at 507-437-7519 or at jchnatur@smig.net.
