Randy M. Lukes, age 53 of rural Austin, died Thursday, June 30, 2011, as the result of an automobile accident south of Austin. He was born June 18, 1958, to Dean and Charlotte (Schewe) Lukes in Austin. After graduation from Austin High School in 1976, Randy farmed south of Austin. He married Mona Paczkowski on June 15, 1991, at Trondhjem Lutheran Church, rural Austin. To this union, one son was born. A member of Trondhjem Lutheran Church, Randy served on the Oakland Town Board. He loved to go Moto Crossing with his son and enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting pool. He restored a Chevy Malibu Laguna to perfection.

Survivors include his wife, Mona Lukes; son, Garrett Lukes; his parents, Charlotte and Dean Lukes, all of rural Austin; two sisters, Susan (Kelly) Kaercher of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Darcy (Doran) Schroeder of Austin; one brother, Greg Lukes of rural Austin; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; aunt, Shirley Lukes; cousins, Terry, Jeffrey and Raymond Lukes.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Hayward Lutheran Church in Hayward with the Rev. Katie Fick officiating. Visitation is two hours prior to the service at church. Interment is at London cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to donor’s choice. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
