Twin Valley Council cub scout families would like to thank the City of Albert Lea and Albert Lea Parks & Rec. for the beautifully-kept Edgewater Park for all to enjoy. Last week we had over 100 boys with leaders and adults during our space-themed day camp and Fun with Son overnight camp. In addition to shooting sports like archery, BB guns and slingshots, we also had crafts, games, campfires and the pleasure of fishing on the pier. Area volunteers with the Fountain Lake Sportsmen’s Club are a fabulous resource for our community. They donate their time, equipment and even the bait so our youth get the opportunity to enjoy the sport of fishing.
