United Way looking for volunteers

The United Way of Freeborn County is looking for volunteers to help with a fun and exciting project this summer! Thanks to generous donations from Valspar, Home Depot and the Vitality Commite, volunteers will be painting a mural on the large brick wall on the side of the Culligan Building, on East Main Street, downtown Albert Lea.
The mural will be a representation of active Albert Lea and our community. It will feature the walking trail, lakes, parks and other activities in the community. This project is a great way to brighten our community and the United Way would love your help to complete it!
Volunteers can spend any amount of time they would like (everything helps), they can choose to volunteer several times, a whole day or just a few hours. There is no need for volunteers to be artistically inclined, the outline will be done and it will be as simple as a paint by numbers project.
The United way is also looking for donations of supplies to help keep costs low. Needed are extra paintbrushes, rollers (with handles), paint pans, drop cloths and painter’s tape. Anything will help!
If you are able to volunteer your time or donate supplies, please contact Jackie or Ann at the United Way office, 373-8670.
