Deputies respond to call of homicides

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call Wednesday evening of a man in Gordonsville who reportedly told Oklahoma police that he killed his two sons.

According to reports, Oklahoma police notified the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office about the call at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday.

The man reportedly lived at 10943 Railroad St.

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office detective Chuck Malepsy said deputies went down to the address, searched the home and found no evidence of anything happening at the home.

Malepsy said the man appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the call.

Man arrested for fleeing police

Police arrested Ignacio Cortez Rosas for reportedly fleeing on foot after receiving a call of a fight at 1119 S. Broadway at 10:53 p.m. Wednesday. Police also arrested Thomas Kenneth Martinez on a local warrant.

House broken into

Two people reportedly broke into a house at 1204 S. Newton Ave. at 11:01 p.m. Wednesday, according to reports.
